Electronic Music Festival on a North Frisian Airfield
Schwesing is a small municipality immediately northeast of Husum, in the district of Nordfriesland. With just under 700 inhabitants, the village would hardly be found on the German festival map—were it not for the Schwesing airfield, a small general aviation airport with a grass runway and hangars, which transforms from a sports aviation site to a festival location for three days every summer.
Bachblyten doesn't define itself by a single genre focus, but by a carefully curated mix of related electronic styles: Techno as the backbone, Indie Dance for a softer touch, Goa for the psychedelic fans, and Drum & Bass for the late-night peaks. This mix appeals to an audience that doesn't want to consume a single sub-genre but seeks to experience a broad electronic journey.
A special feature of the festival: It is completely privately funded and operates without commercial sponsors. This fundamentally distinguishes it from many other German festivals, which are increasingly financed by large brand partnerships. The result: advertising spaces, logo walls, and sponsored bars are absent; the festival looks and feels like a classic underground event from the early festival generation.
In addition to music, the festival offers a supporting program of street art, theatre performances, fire shows, and newcomer acts. This transforms the event into a kind of mini-festival universe, where other forms of experience are possible between the dance floors. The capacity is around 3,000 visitors—just large enough for a real festival atmosphere, small enough for a close-knit community feeling.
Top acts 2026: Marv, Saltz, Shabiki. Further confirmed artists include: Dlusion, Gizmo, Heartbeat A, Lisa Cropp, Maurice Mino, Naturalize, Novae, Rauschhaus, Roman Adam, Sabura, and many more. The full line-up will be continuously communicated on the festival website.
Three days of electronic music at the Schwesing airfield. Multiple floors featuring Techno, Indie Dance, Goa, and Drum & Bass. Performance acts and fire shows complement the DJ sets.
The complete stage and floor plan with DJ set times will be published by the organizer in the weeks before the festival on bachblyten-festival.com as well as on the Facebook page. Experience shows that DJ sets typically start on Friday evening with softer acts (Indie Dance), with nights peaking with Techno and Drum & Bass. The entire weekend runs continuously — sleeping in the camping tents in between is part of the festival logic.
