The Summer Party for Saarbrücken Students

When the exam period ends and summer moves onto campus, the AStA of Saarland University calls for the Campusfestival. For one Saturday, the campus meadow – the green heart of the Saarbrücken university – becomes a party zone: three stages, an action area with fun attractions, Beer Pong, food trucks, and thousands of students letting off steam at the end of the semester.

When is the Festival?

The AStA Campusfestival 2026 will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2026, on the campus meadow of Saarland University. Opening in the afternoon, with highlights in the evening and night.

Three Stages, Many Genres

The musical concept focuses on diversity:

• Stage 1 – Live Acts: Bands from regional and national spectrums, Rock, Pop, Indie
• Stage 2 – Electro DJs: Electronic music from House to Techno
• Stage 3 – Mixed Music: HipHop, Pop, Charts, Dance Classics

Action Area – Fun Beyond Just Concerts

Unlike classic open-air festivals, the Campusfestival isn't just about music. A dedicated action area offers unusual fun elements:

• Obstacle course on inflatable tracks
• Inflatables – various inflatable games
• Bull Riding – the mechanical bull on a soft surface
• Pools and foam cannons – for cooling off on hot days
• Beer Pong tournaments

Tickets and Prices

The festival is student-funded and therefore affordable. Early bird prices: €15 for students, €20 for non-students. Higher prices at the box office. Sales via the AStA secretariat (A5.2) and online.

Saarland University – A University Location with Character

Saarland University was founded in 1948 and, with nearly 17,000 students, is one of the most important universities in southwestern Germany. It is particularly known for its computer science and cybersecurity (Helmholtz Centre CISPA), its strong multilingualism (German, French, English), and its proximity to the University of Lorraine in Metz. The campus is located in the Saarbrücken district of Dudweiler-Ost, bordering the city forest.

More Than Just Students?

The festival is not exclusively for students – non-students are welcome but pay slightly more. The audience is a mix of Saarbrücken's city population, apprentices, young professionals, and guests from neighbouring communities. The festival serves as an urban summer highlight for the region.

STAGETOPIA – The Other Student Festival

If you're up for more on June 10: Three days later, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, the STAGETOPIA Festival takes place on the same campus – with 4 large stages and a secret floor. Students often combine both events into a complete festival week.
