Double festival evening with folk concert in Gifhorn and crime reading in Meinersen
On June 5, 2026, the Unser Aller Festival takes the opportunity to perform at two locations simultaneously. In the Kultbahnhof Gifhorn, Jesper Munk and his band will be on stage; in the Künstlerhaus Meinersen, about 20 kilometers away, Mario Bekeschus will read from his crime novel Im Eichtal. This creates a festival evening where visitors can choose between a musical concert and a literary reading.
Jesper Munk, born in Munich in 1992, is one of the most international voices in the German music scene. With German-American roots and a socialization between blues, folk, and Americana, he has made a name for himself as a solo artist since his debut over ten years ago. His raw voice, virtuoso guitar playing, and English lyrics make him an artist who is as convincing in singer-songwriter clubs as he is on festival stages. The Kultbahnhof Gifhorn is known for its high-quality live program.
Mario Bekeschus reads from his crime novel Im Eichtal at the Künstlerhaus Meinersen. The North German author combines regional settings – for example, in the fictional Eichtal – with classic crime literature in his novels. The atmosphere of the Künstlerhaus Meinersen, one of the most important cultural addresses in the region, is ideal for a focused reading. A mixture of presentation, reading, and conversation with the author characterizes the format.
With its decentralized concept, the Aller Festival brings high-quality culture to the towns, villages, and venues of the Gifhorn district. From May 29 to June 7, 2026, there will be 14 or more program points spread out; individual evenings offer parallel events, ensuring a wide selection.
Both dates are ticketed separately. Those who want to see both cannot – the concert and reading take place at the same time. The decision between music and literature becomes the hallmark of this festival evening.
The parallel programming is part of the festival's decentralized concept. It offers the audience a choice and ensures that multiple venues and artistic disciplines are active on the same day.
Kultbahnhof Gifhorn and Künstlerhaus Meinersen are both established venues in the region and guarantee high-quality cultural events.
Jesper Munk: Kultbahnhof Gifhorn, 38518 Gifhorn (Gifhorn District). Mario Bekeschus: Künstlerhaus Meinersen, 38536 Meinersen.
Both locations are accessible via A2/A39. Gifhorn and Meinersen are about 20 km apart.
June 5, 2026 (parallel).
Tickets are sold separately via allerfestival.de.
Those who want to experience both artists should plan for performances on other festival days – on June 5, only one is possible.
