New Tennis Tournament on Usedom

The Ahlbecker Ostsee-Cup launches in 2026 as an official ranking tournament of the German Tennis Association (DTB), marking a sporting highlight at the start of the season on the Baltic Sea. The organizer is TC Blau-Weiß Ahlbeck e.V., which has been establishing tennis on the island of Usedom for decades. The tournament is classified in category A-7.

Women's Field Plus Junior Tournament

The concept combines top-level sport and development: 32 women from various regions of Germany will compete for ranking points and prize money in the main tournament. In parallel, a junior tournament will take place with approximately 70 young talents. This makes the start of the spring season a sporting weekend for all age groups.

Tennis Tradition in Ahlbeck

TC Blau-Weiß Ahlbeck e.V. operates several tennis courts in one of the most beautiful locations on the German Baltic coast – Ahlbeck is part of the municipality of Ostseebad Heringsdorf in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald. The club annually hosts junior ranking tournaments and, more recently, the Ahlbecker Ostsee-Cup for the adult field. The motto: 'On the Baltic Sea – Tournament for Our Youth' shapes the club's culture.

Venue and Atmosphere

Matches will be played in the Siedlung Ostende tennis hall in Ahlbeck. The facility is just a few minutes' walk from the legendary Baltic Sea beach and the historic pier. Spectators are warmly welcome – admission is free. Those who combine the tournament with a weekend on Usedom can enjoy beach walks, spa architecture, and culinary specialties of the Kaiserbäder between matches.
