Africa Meets Steinhude
Steinhude, the fishing village on the Steinhuder Meer, is known for boat trips, eel stalls (Aalkaten), its promenade, and Northern German flair. With the African Cultural Festival, this backdrop gains an unusual accent for four days: African drum rhythms, colourful fabrics, the scent of African spices, and the energy of live bands and dance groups will characterise the barn district.

The Barn District as a Venue
The barn district (Scheunenviertel) on Meerstraße, with its historic buildings and courtyard character, is an extraordinary venue. The intimate atmosphere allows for concerts, workshops, and stalls to be experienced up close – ideal for an immersive festival experience.
