Festival at Hartensbergsee
The Afdreiht un Buten Festival takes place at the idyllic Hartensbergsee, south of Goldenstedt. The lake serves not only as a geographical marker but as an integral part of the festival experience: during summer temperatures, visitors can jump into the water between concerts—a combination unique among Europe's Hardcore and Punk festivals.
Two Stages, Two Days
Over the two festival days, bands alternate on two stages. The musical spectrum ranges from melodic punk rock and ska-punk to classic hardcore and crossover, all the way to metalcore and modern metal. International headliners from the USA, Great Britain, and Scandinavia meet European and German acts from the scene.
Line-Up 2026 (Selection Confirmed)
Numerous acts have already been confirmed for the 2026 edition. From the international hardcore scene come Stick to Your Guns (California) and H2O (New York), from ska-punk Less Than Jake (Florida), from German punk the Würzburg band Itchy, plus Good Riddance (California, Melodic Hardcore), Trash Boat (UK, Pop-Punk/Post-Hardcore), and Unearth (Massachusetts, Metalcore). Further bands will be announced successively by the organizers.
Camping and Festival Life
The attached festival camping makes Afdreiht un Buten a classic weekend experience: set up your tent, three days of festival life, jump into the waters of Hartensbergsee, see bands, meet new people. On-site, there is catering with hot meals and vegetarian-vegan options, several bars, band merchandise stands, and sanitary facilities.

Two Festival Days by the Lake
The festival spans two festival days with two stages:
- Friday, July 31: Starts in the early afternoon, bands alternate in quick succession on the two stages, headliner slots in the late evening, with simultaneous camping and free access to Hartensbergsee.
- Saturday, August 1: All-day band program on both stages, international and European headliners in the evening, followed by an after-show area at the campsite.

Getting There
By car via the A1 (Vechta exit) and then towards Goldenstedt, follow signs for Hartensbergsee. Festival parking is signposted. By public transport to Vechta or Wildeshausen, then bus or shuttle to the grounds.
