A Farm Estate in the Middle of Berlin
The Domäne Dahlem is located in the Dahlem district, Steglitz-Zehlendorf, and is one of Berlin's last remaining farm complexes. The first documented mentions date back to the 13th century, and the manor house dates from the 16th century. Today, a foundation operates an open-air museum for agriculture and nutrition, an ecological educational farm, and an organic marketplace with regular events here.
Four Sundays, One Concept
The Domäne's Advent market deliberately differs from the typical Christmas market format: instead of mulled wine stalls and fairy lights, the focus is on arts and crafts, organic producers, ecological gift ideas, and children's activities. On each of the four Sundays of Advent, the grounds are open from 11 am to 7 pm. The historic farmyard features stalls with handmade jewelry, ceramics, textiles, wooden toys, regional organic foods, honey, oils, game products, and sustainable gift items. In the stable, there's a tractor ride for children, and the workshops offer hands-on activities.
Family Program and Atmosphere
For many Berlin families, the market is a firm Advent tradition. Unlike the large tourist markets, there is plenty of space here, no crowding, and the whole thing has a distinctly rural character — sheep and pigs are not far away, haystacks and stables shape the scenery. Those with children can easily combine a visit to the market with the open-air museum. The Domäne is located directly at the Dahlem-Dorf U-Bahn station (U3) — accordingly well accessible and heavily frequented on Advent Sundays.
Adventsmarkt Dahlem — edition 2026
As every year, the 2026 Advent market runs on all four Sundays of Advent — November 29 and December 6, 13, and 20, 2026 — from 11 am to 7 pm each day. On the farmyard of Domäne Dahlem on Königin-Luise-Straße, artisans and organic producers offer their goods, tractor rides await children in the stable, and the educational farm showcases its workshops. Admission to the market is free.

The program concept remains unchanged in 2026. On all four Sundays of Advent, the following will take place in parallel:
Market Stalls
- Arts and Crafts — Ceramics, woodwork, jewelry, textiles, wooden toys
- Organic Foods — Honey, oils, game products, baked goods, wine from regional producers
- Ecological Gifts — Sustainable care products, natural cosmetics, seasonal plants

- Tractor Rides for children around the Domäne grounds
- Workshops — Insights into the bakery, dairy, and animal husbandry of the educational farm
- Animal Encounters with the farm's residents
Gastronomy
- Mulled wine, punch, and non-alcoholic hot drinks based on organic ingredients

Admission to the Advent market is free. The regular museum tariff applies.

The Domäne is family- and dog-friendly. Dress for the weather — the grounds are mostly outdoors.
