3rd Oldtimer Meeting at Innerstebad with historic vehicles, live music, and family program
After the successful first two editions in 2024 and 2025, the Sarstedter Oldtimertreffen will be held for the third time in 2026. The organizer, the association Stadtmarketing Sarstedt e. V., established the format with the goal of creating an autumn event that revitalizes the city center and appeals to a cross-generational audience.
The parking lot in front of the Innerstebad offers a spacious exhibition area in the heart of Sarstedt. Its location by the Innerste river, within walking distance of the city center, makes it an ideal spot for an oldtimer meeting: enough space for a respectable number of vehicles, while being highly visible and easily accessible.
Historic automobiles from several decades will be shown at the meeting: pre-war vehicles, classic sedans from the 1950s and 60s, sports cars, Beetles, Bullis, American classics, British roadsters, Italian sports cars, German sedans, and coupés. In addition, there is an area for historic motorcycles, and occasionally tractors and commercial vehicles. The range typically extends from the 1920s to the 1980s, in some cases even younger (youngtimers).
Unlike classic car shows, the owners are the focus at the oldtimer meeting. They tell the stories of their vehicles: Where was the car found, how extensive was the restoration, what special anecdotes are associated with it? These conversations make the meeting a lively experience and are often the real value for visitors.
A small stage provides live music – usually Rock'n'Roll, Oldies, Blues, or other genres that fit the atmosphere of the historic vehicles. Food stalls and gastronomic offerings ensure culinary catering. Families can easily spend several hours on the premises.
The Sarstedter Oldtimertreffen is a growing event that is gaining increasing attention beyond the city limits. Those planning a trip to the northern Hildesheim region in autumn will find a relaxed opportunity here to combine a September day with automotive history, a pleasant atmosphere, and exploration of Sarstedt.
As with the first two editions, vehicle owners will register in advance via the Stadtmarketing website. The spectrum typically ranges from pre-war vehicles to youngtimers from the 1980s.
The meeting will be accompanied by a stage program with live music (usually Rock'n'Roll, Oldies, or Blues), food offerings, and small family activities.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in the summer. The structure follows the proven key points of the first two editions:
