What began a few years ago as a small idea by the Hafenfreunde Neuharlingersiel e.V. has quickly developed into a weekend insider tip. On Sunday, November 29, 2026, the 4th edition will take place around the cutter harbor.

The Cutter Harbor Scenery

What makes the Adventsmarkt special is its cutter harbor scenery. Unlike classic Christmas markets in city squares, the market takes place directly at the harbor – with crab cutters, fishing boats, and maritime facilities as natural decoration. Illuminated ships and fairy lights along the harbor edge create a very special Advent atmosphere that clearly distinguishes it from other Christmas markets in East Frisia.

Mulled Wine and Regional Specialties

The culinary offerings are based on classic Advent market standards with an East Frisian touch:
