Advent Among Vineyards
In the second week of Advent, Trittenheim transforms for one evening into a small, very personal meeting place for Advent enthusiasts. The Trittenheim Wine Youth—an association of young wine lovers from the village, often with family ties to local wineries—manages the serving, setup, and program. The Adventsglühen is the younger, more intimate sister to the large Trittenheim wine festivals and is deliberately designed as a manageable club event.
Mulled Wine, Punch, and Moselle Vintners
The focus is on mulled wines and winter cuvées from Trittenheim vintners. The Wine Youth uses the festival to also present ready-to-drink mulled wines and hot punch variations, coordinated with participating wineries in the preceding weeks. Additionally, there are non-alcoholic hot drinks, hot drinks made from regional juices, and small snacks for the long evening.
Club Festival with Community Spirit
The Trittenheim Wine Youth sees itself as a link between the traditional wineries and the next generation of Moselle wine. Activities range from wine tastings for young adults and wine hikes to assisting with major events like the Trittenheim Wine Festival. The Adventsglühen is one of the club's self-financing events—the proceeds go towards club work, travel, and youth development.
Trittenheim in December
