Grand City Jubilee with Three Historic Anniversaries
In 2026, Stadtsteinach looks back on an extraordinary concentration of historic anniversaries: 875 years since its first documented mention (1151), 700 years since being granted city rights, and 500 years since the destruction of Nordeck Castle. These three jubilees will be celebrated together in 2026 under the motto "875 Years Stadtsteinach – THE Jubilee".
The jubilee extends throughout the year. As early as May 23, 2026, there will be a "Day of Volunteering" with an evening concert (Duo Scott & Lila, Jazz, Pop, and Folk). Further program highlights include "Stadtsteinach rollt", the Bobby Car hill climb revival, and an open-air concert with the band RADSPITZ.
The highlight is the jubilee weekend on July 11 and 12, 2026, with a grand parade, festive church service, and stage program in the town center. The parade and fireworks make the weekend the emotional focal point of the jubilee year.
The jubilee brings the centuries-old history of Stadtsteinach on the edge of the Franconian Forest to life and provides an occasion to celebrate the town's community and identity together. A detailed program flyer is available in local shops and can be downloaded from the city's website.
