Eight Decades of Volunteer Youth Work
80 years is a significant anniversary, especially for a youth fire brigade. The Hecklingen Youth Fire Brigade in the Salzlandkreis (state of Saxony-Anhalt) is one of the oldest youth departments in the region — a living testament to club life that has been supported in the town on the edge of the Hakel for decades. This anniversary will be celebrated on June 13, 2026, on the fire station grounds.
The festival is a classic open-day format with a family focus: an official reception and opening in the morning, followed by a vehicle show (TLF, LF, turntable ladder, and vintage vehicles from the region), fire brigade games for the little ones, a bouncy castle, and sausages from the field kitchen. Hecklingen is located between Bernburg and Staßfurt, easily accessible via the B6, and the day is ideal for families from the entire Salzlandkreis as an outing.
80 Years Youth Fire Brigade Hecklingen — edition 2026
In the morning, an official welcome by the town of Hecklingen and introduction of the youth leader team. Afterwards, the program points will run in parallel throughout the afternoon: vehicle show with current emergency vehicles and vintage cars, small competitions by youth fire brigade groups from the region, bouncy castle and play area for children, field kitchen with sausages, pea soup, and cake bazaar.
