60 Years KLJB Stulln – Anniversary Festival

60 Years Katholische Landjugend Stulln

The KLJB Stulln – the local group of the Katholische Landjugendbewegung Bayern in the Oberpfalz municipality of Stulln (Schwandorf district) – is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2026. The KLJB is the largest confessional youth organization in rural Bavaria; in Stulln, it has been firmly established since 1966, shaping village life through events, commitment, and volunteer work.

Three Days of Festivities in the Marquee

To mark the anniversary, KLJB Stulln is hosting a three-day festival from June 5th to 7th, 2026, in a large marquee. The sponsoring club is KLJB Schmidgaden, and former KLJB board member Thomas Rohrwild is the patron.

Festival Program

• Friday, June 5th, 2026 – Opening evening with the Musikkapelle Schwarzenfeld and subsequent dancing with the party band Narrisch in the marquee.
• Saturday, June 6th, 2026 – Flunkyball tournament (an Oberpfalz variant of the drinking game sport, participation requires registration) in the afternoon, followed by a big dance night with the band Tschamstera in the evening.
• Sunday, June 7th, 2026 – Procession to the church, festive church service at 2:00 PM, followed by a grand procession through the village with clubs, music bands, and the KLJB family from the entire diocesan association. The Sunday will conclude with brass music in the marquee.

Before the Procession: Pavillonfreunde Stulln

Before the procession on Sunday, the Pavillonfreunde Stulln invite guests to refresh themselves – a typical element of Oberpfalz club anniversaries, where neighboring clubs provide refreshments for guests before the main procession.

Stulln in the Schwandorf District

Stulln is a municipality with around 1,800 inhabitants in the Oberpfalz district of Schwandorf (Bavaria). The KLJB is one of the pillars of village club life here – with regular events, festivals, pilgrimages, and youth work. The 60th anniversary is considered the most significant social event weekend of 2026 for Stulln and the neighboring municipalities of Schwarzenfeld, Schmidgaden, and Schwandorf.
