50 Sommer WIR — Anniversary Weekend

The Anniversary Weekend is the festive culmination of the 50th City Festival anniversary. While the main weekend spans 18 stages across the entire city center, the Anniversary Weekend focuses on Schlossplatz and three thematically distinct gala evenings. Schlossplatz will be transformed into an open-air ballroom with seating, a grandstand, and a large concert stage.

Thursday, August 27th: Comedy Summit

Four of Germany's most renowned comedians will share the stage: Atze Schröder, Ilka Bessin (alias Cindy aus Marzahn), Markus Krebs, and Matze Knop. The Comedy Summit brings together four very different stage personalities for a best-of evening that appeals to a broad audience.

Friday, August 28th: Musical Fever

The second evening belongs to the Oldenburgisches Staatstheater with "Musical Fever." Soloists from the theater will present the greatest hits from the international musical repertoire—from Broadway classics to contemporary hits. Supported by the State Orchestra, Schlossplatz will become an open-air musical stage.

Saturday, August 29th: Oldenburg Opera Night

The highlight will be the Oldenburg Opera Night with the Oldenburgisches Staatsorchester. Grand arias, choruses, and symphonic works will be performed in an atmosphere that blends an open-air summer concert with a classical opera evening. Soloists from the State Theater and guests are announced.

Anniversary Price 50 Euros

To celebrate the anniversary, all three evenings are available at the anniversary price of 50 Euros per ticket—a deliberate gesture by the organizers to make high-quality culture widely accessible. Reservations can be made through the official sales points of the City Festival and the State Theater.
