50 Years of Youth Fire Brigade Katlenburg

The Youth Fire Brigade Katlenburg was founded in 1976 and has since been one of the important pillars of the volunteer fire brigade in the municipality of Katlenburg-Lindau. Half a century of dedicated youth work has trained hundreds of young people in fire protection, technology, and above all in values such as team spirit, responsibility, and helpfulness. Many of today's active firefighters began their careers in the youth fire brigade.

Anniversary Day

On June 13, 2026, the birthday of the Youth Fire Brigade Katlenburg will be celebrated. From 10:45 AM to 6 PM, a packed festive program will bring together youth fire brigades from the region for a joint celebration.

Demonstrations and Competitions

The program's focus is on demonstrations of firefighting skills — from hose and water handling to knot tying techniques and practical exercises that showcase the abilities of the young members. A friendly competition between the participating youth brigades of the region adds spice to the program.
