4th Düren Company Run — the after-work classic at the bathing lake

The Düren Company Run is entering its fourth edition in 2026 and remains true to its concept: a relaxed team run in the late afternoon, organized for companies, authorities, and clubs from the Düren district and the North Rhine-Westphalia region. On Friday, June 12, 2026, the Düren bathing lake will transform into a mix of sports event, company outing, and summer festival on the lake shore.

One lap, three distances

The course leads once around the lake — one lap measures 2.7 km. Choose according to your fitness and motivation:

• 2.7 km — one lap, start 4:30 PM
• 5.4 km — two laps, start 5:30 PM
• 8.1 km — three laps, start 6:30 PM

The course is flat and well-shaded — ideal for beginners and casual runners, but also for ambitious team captains tackling the 8.1 km run.

Team and individual rankings

Awards will be given for both the fastest teams in the men's, women's, and mixed categories, as well as for the best individual results. The awards ceremony will take place from 7:30 PM in the festival area by the lake — with a joint celebration, music, and catering.

Registration and running shirt

Registration is via the official website. Team captains create a team account and provide participants with login details for individual registration. The entry fee is €32 per person plus 7% VAT. Registration deadline is Friday, May 29, 2026, at 12:00 PM — late registration is not possible. Every participant receives a uniform company run T-shirt, which must be worn on the course.

An after-work format with atmosphere

Unlike a classic city run, the company run focuses on togetherness: the goal isn't the fastest time, but the team experience. The net timekeeping ensures that even late starters receive their personal time correctly. Headphones on the course, strollers, walking sticks, or human chains are prohibited — substitute runners may not be family or friends.

In the Düren bathing lake nature reserve

The Düren bathing lake is located south of the district town — a former gravel pit, now a local recreation area. Swimming facilities, sunbathing lawns, a restaurant, and playgrounds make the area a popular family excursion destination in the Düren district even outside of the company run.
