200 Years Schützenverein Dahlenburg

The Dahlenburg Marksmen's Club was founded in 1826 — and is therefore celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2026. An exceptional occasion that makes the already traditional Schützenfest a special major event. The anniversary Schützenfest will take place at Pentecost 2026.

Four Corps

A special feature of the club: it is divided into four corps, each with its own tradition and uniform:

• Schwarzes Korps — the oldest formation
• Jägercorps — green uniform, hunting tradition
• Joppen Corps — own costume and symbols
• Section of Ladies — marksmen women

This diversity creates a colourful spectacle during the parade and marching.

200th Anniversary with Special Programme

The exact programme for 2026 will be published by the club in spring. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years — with additional anniversary formats:

• Bird shooting and proclamation of the king
• Grand anniversary parade with all four corps
• King's dinner and festive evening event
• Dance evening with live music
• Family day with Frühshoppen (morning pint)
• Anniversary formats: historical exhibition, club chronicle, honours
• Shooting galleries, carousels, and food stalls on the festival grounds

Pentecost as Festival Time

Pentecost is a classic festival date in North German marksmen's traditions. The 2025 anniversary festival will bring together not only the club's own members but also marksmen's clubs from the surrounding area — the Pentecost weekend will become a major meeting point for marksmen's tradition in the Lüneburg district.
