150 Years of "Floriansjünger" in Moosach
Founded in 1876, the Volunteer Fire Brigade Moosach is one of the oldest fire brigades in the Ebersberg district of Upper Bavaria. The 150th founding festival will bring four days of marquee atmosphere to the tranquil village from May 29th to June 1st, 2026. The festival will take place on Grafinger Straße, where a large beer tent will be erected.
Four Days of Bavarian Festival Culture
Friday is traditionally dedicated to the tapping of the first beer keg, after which the "Glonner Musi" takes over the festival tent. Saturday is scheduled as a wine and beer festival with Josef Menzl's band. The festival Sunday begins with a hearty Weißwurst breakfast, followed by an open-air church service and a parade of patron associations and friendly brigades. The festivities conclude on Monday with a "Heimatabend" (homeland evening) featuring regional delicacies and the "Stoabuckl Musi".
Voluntary Service for the Village Community
The FFW Moosach looks back on 150 years of voluntary service — from firefighting and technical assistance to preserving traditions. Commander Elias Probul and his deputy Felix Schmidt lead the active team, which sees itself as deeply rooted in the village community in Moosach (Lkr Ebersberg).
Tradition Meets Community
A founding festival of this magnitude occurs only once in a club's lifetime. Patron brigades will arrive with flag escorts, local clubs will participate in the parade, and the brigade's own helpers will provide the catering. Thus, a piece of Bavarian festival culture, as it has been cultivated in Upper Bavaria for generations, comes alive on the festival weekend.
