Open-air concert series from May to September in the Park der Gärten Bad Zwischenahn
The Park der Gärten in Bad Zwischenahn, on the shores of Lake Zwischenahn, is one of Northern Germany's most renowned garden landscapes. Over 50 themed and show gardens, sculpture trails, and water features form the backdrop for the “Zu Gast im Park” concert series. From May to September, the park transforms on select evenings into an open-air stage with seating for several thousand spectators.
The series is consistently multidisciplinary: comedy and cabaret (Atze Schröder, Jürgen von der Lippe, Christian Ehring), singer/songwriters (Anna Depenbusch, Philipp Poisel), guitar virtuosos (Tommy Emmanuel), vocal ensembles (The Ten Tenors, Damenlikörchor), and world music (QUADRO NUEVO) come together. The 2026 programme spans from the opening concert night with The Ten Tenors on May 22nd to Philipp Poisel on September 2nd.
The events primarily take place in the evenings, before or during twilight. Visitors can enter the park from early evening, stroll through the gardens, and dine at the park's restaurants before the concert. The stage is positioned so that the themed gardens become a natural part of the stage design. Ticketing is handled via reservix.de and adticket.de, with additional park day tickets depending on the specific event.
Over the years, the series has become a firm fixture of the cultural summer in Lower Saxony. It complements the tourist profile of the Ammerland region and makes the Park der Gärten a cultural meeting point far beyond the garden season.
The series runs from late spring to early autumn, covering the entire open-air season. Individual dates depend on artists' tour availability; some acts (Atze Schröder, Jürgen von der Lippe) perform on multiple consecutive evenings. Tickets often sell out quickly due to high demand, especially for well-known comedy acts.
