Civic Festival in the Loisach Town

The Civic Festival in Wolfratshausen is a municipal celebration as part of the 2026 Cultural Year. Wolfratshausen is the district capital of the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district in the Upper Bavaria region of Bavaria and lies at the confluence of the Loisach and Isar rivers. The 2026 Civic Festival has a special occasion: the official establishment of the town partnership with Manzano.

From Earthquake Relief to Town Partnership

What began in 1976 as a spontaneous aid effort for earthquake victims in Friuli developed over the decades into a close friendship with the Italian town of Manzano. After 50 years, this connection will be formally elevated to a town partnership in 2026. During the Civic Festival on July 25, 2026, the partnership will be officially signed in Wolfratshausen as part of a small ceremony; a delegation from Manzano will participate.
