Wittlich is located directly on the A 1 / A 60 motorways. It is accessible by train via Wittlich station, from where it is a few minutes' walk to the Platz an der Lieser.

Christmas at Platz an der Lieser
The Platz an der Lieser is Wittlich's central event square – the venue for the summer event series in summer, the Federweißerfest in autumn, and the Wittlich Christmas Days in winter. Its central location on the edge of the old town, with good access to parking and the train station, makes it the ideal spot for the town's major events.
Four Weeks of Advent Magic
The Wittlich Christmas Days are open from Friday, November 27th, to Tuesday, December 22nd, 2026. Stalls offer mulled wine made from regional Riesling wines, punch, hot drinks, bratwurst, potato pancakes, chestnuts, gingerbread, stollen, candied almonds, cheese platters, and sweet specialties. In addition, there are craft products, jewelry, Advent decorations, and souvenirs.
Advent Market on the 3rd Advent Weekend
A special feature of the Wittlich Christmas Days is the Advent market on the 3rd Advent weekend (December 16th and 17th, 2026).
