About Winzerhoffest Scholtes

The Winzerhoffest at Ferienweingut Hermann Scholtes in Trittenheim takes place from July 17th to 19th, 2026. For three days, the estate opens its doors to Mosel travellers: Trittenheim Riesling directly from the cellar, Mosel culinary specialties, live music, and the relaxed atmosphere of a Mosel wine estate. The estate festival is a fixed summer event in Trittenheim's calendar, one of the most distinguished wine villages on the Middle Mosel.

A Family Business with a Tradition of Holiday Rooms

Ferienweingut Hermann Scholtes is one of the traditional family wine estates on the Mosel in Trittenheim. Wine production in the famous Trittenheim steep slopes—Altärchen, Apotheke, Leiterchen—is combined with holiday rooms for Mosel tourists. The Winzerhoffest extends this hospitality into an open weekend.

Mid-July Date

The 2026 estate festival runs from Friday, July 17th to Sunday, July 19th—three days during the peak season of Mosel tourism. Visitors travelling to the Mosel in July will find direct access to Trittenheim's wine culture and the family business at the estate festival. Trittenheim's location on the famous Mosel loop already makes the village an attractive destination in itself—the estate festival adds an extra event to its program.

Trittenheim Riesling and Mosel Specialties

The dominant wine in the glass is Riesling from the Trittenheim vineyards: from dry estate Riesling to high-quality Spätlesen from the steep Altärchen and Apotheke slopes. Pinot and Sekt complement the offering. For food, Mosel specialties, Flammkuchen (flatbread), regional sausages, and cheeses are offered—all in the relaxed atmosphere of a Mosel wine estate.

Atmosphere and Program

The live music in the evenings ranges from acoustic solo sets to cover duos. The format is familial and informal—no big stage, no elaborate production, but wine, food, music, and conversations in the courtyard. Those who want to get to know the Mosel as a wine region will find a very direct encounter with a Mosel wine-growing family here.
