Fury in the Slaughterhouse as season finale in the Roman amphitheater Trier on July 25, 2026
Fury in the Slaughterhouse was founded in Hanover in 1987 and has been one of the most consistent bands in the German rock scene since the late 1980s. With hits like “Won't Forget These Days”, “Time to Wonder”, “Radio Orchid”, and “Every Generation Got Its Own Disease”, the brothers Kai and Thorsten Wingenfelder and their bandmates have shaped an entire generation of German speakers. The mix of catchy rock, English lyrics with social depth, and honest, powerful live energy has made the band a live magnet over the decades.
After a break in the 2010s and their return with the album “Now” (2018), the band is once again among the most played acts on major German stages. Their open-air concerts – whether at festivals or in cultural settings like the Trier Amphitheater – are regular summer highlights.
The Trier Amphitheater, one of the best-preserved Roman structures north of the Alps and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1986, offers an atmospherically dense backdrop for a Fury concert. The oval arena, the natural acoustics, and the rising tiers create a direct, intense concert experience.
The concert is part of the Amphitheater Open Air Trier 2026 series (July 17-26), which makes the ancient structure on the Petrisberg a concert stage again after a three-year break. The organizer is Popp Concerts. Tickets are available through the usual pre-sale channels.
The Trier performance is part of Fury in the Slaughterhouse's tour activities. Live, Fury has been one of the reliably strong bands on the German scene for decades. Due to the loyal fan base and Trier's central location in the tri-border area, a full amphitheater is expected.
A multi-generational audience is anticipated – long-time fans from the 1990s will mingle with younger listeners who have rediscovered the band since the original lineup reunited.
The exact program for 2026 will be communicated by the organizer in advance. The structure follows the proven guidelines from previous years:
