Three-day wine enjoyment days with local vintners and regional cuisine in the Mosel wine village of Maring-Noviand
Maring-Noviand is an incorporated twin community in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district. The two formerly independent villages of Maring and Noviand are located in close proximity on the Liesertal, a side valley of the Mosel. Both districts have their own history, their own vintners, and their own festival days – the Wine and Delicacies Days are one of the joint events that make the village visible as a wine region.
From Friday, July 31, to Sunday, August 2, 2026, the vintners will open their courtyards and wine shops. Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir are the focus, complemented by sparkling wines and specialties. Tastings take place in the courtyards, inner courtyards, or under the open sky, supplemented by a wide menu with tarte flambée, bratwurst, Schiefertaler ham, cheese platters, and sweet specialties.
Unlike the wine villages located directly on the Mosel, Maring-Noviand has a somewhat more secluded location in the Lieser valley. This location shapes the atmosphere of the festival: quieter, more village-like, less tourist-oriented than the big Mosel events. Those who want to get to know the Mosel valley beyond the main routes will find an authentic format here.
The date at the end of July / beginning of August falls within the German summer holidays. Those who want to combine a wine stay in the Middle Mosel with hiking, cycling, or simply relaxing in the Liesertal will find the Wine and Delicacies Days an ideal occasion.
The 2026 edition follows the proven concept of previous years. The participating courtyards offer their wines and food directly on site; the atmosphere is personal and very village-like.
Those who wish to explore the Liesertal beyond the main routes can easily combine the Wine and Delicacies Days with hikes or bike tours along the Lieser.
The exact 2026 program will be published by the organizer in the summer. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of the Mosel courtyard festivals:
Maring-Noviand is located a few kilometers from the Mosel in the Liesertal. Arrive by car via the B 50 or B 53 and local connecting roads. By train, you can connect via Wittlich with a bus connection.
Free entry to the courtyards. Wine and food are paid for on site.
