Singing in a Pack – A Wilhelmshaven Success Story

The Sing-Along has established itself in Wilhelmshaven as a popular participatory singing series over the years. At the Pumpwerk Cultural Centre, the stage is not occupied by professionals, but by the audience: lyrics are projected, the Bröker/Saul team sets the tone at the microphone and piano, and the hall sings along as one. What began as the idea of a "world sing-along movement" is now a cross-generational temporary living room.

Five Editions in 2026 – From the 46th to the 50th Sing-Along

In 2026, there are five dates on the programme:

• February 25, 2026 – 46th Sing-Along
• April 28, 2026 – 47th Sing-Along
• May 20, 2026 – 48th Sing-Along
• October 6, 2026 – 49th Sing-Along
• December 16, 2026 – 50th Sing-Along (Anniversary Edition)

Each event starts at 7:30 PM. The 50th edition in December marks a small anniversary for the Wilhelmshaven Sing-Along series.

From Schlager to Opera

The musical repertoire spans a wide range: Rock classics, Pop anthems, Schlager songs, French chanson, and even operetta melodies. The selection is curated so that everyone can join in – whether with a voice, without a voice, or with a Pomeranian accent. This very mix makes the Sing-Along attractive to older and younger generations alike.

The Bröker/Saul Team

The evening is led by the well-rehearsed duo Bröker/Saul, who have accompanied the Wilhelmshaven editions for years. With piano, guitar, and moderation skills, they guide the programme, animate with background stories about the songs, and create a warm, witty atmosphere. The audience becomes part of the concert – sometimes with a large choir, sometimes with solo performances from the hall.

A Low-Threshold Encounter

What distinguishes the format is its community-building character. No one has to rehearse in advance, no one has to be able to sing. The evening also works as an entertaining visit to the Pumpwerk – yet most guests will inevitably hum, sway, or belt along. Admission: from 15 Euros.
