Pop-Up wine bar in Worms-Wiesoppenheim every two weeks on Friday evenings from late April to early July
Pop-up concepts β temporary events or sales points organized with high frequency but short duration β have also reached the German wine scene in recent years. The advantage: Instead of an elaborate wine festival with permits, setup, and dismantling, there is a low-threshold, more permanent connection with the audience. The Wiesoppenheim district has adopted exactly this concept with its pop-up wine bar.
Worms-Wiesoppenheim is one of the smallest districts of Worms, but with a distinct winemaking tradition. The surrounding vineyards are managed by a few remaining, highly dedicated winegrowing families. With Weingut Jonas Kiefer (young generation, modern wine philosophy) and Nibelungenhof Andreas Hammerstein (established tradition, extensive range), two contrasting but complementary wineries are represented.
The concept works as follows: Every two weeks on Friday evening between 5:00 PM and 9:30 PM, the pop-up wine bar in Wiesoppenheim opens its doors. The respective winery hosts the event on its premises or in the courtyard, serves its range by the glass, and provides a small culinary offering. Weingut Jonas Kiefer and Nibelungenhof Andreas Hammerstein are responsible in alternating turns.
The 2026 season starts deliberately early: On April 30th β a Thursday before Labour Day β the first pop-up wine bar of the year will be opened. The format will then run with a bi-weekly rhythm until July 3rd, 2026, offering a total of about five to six dates. The format takes a break in the summer to make way for the major Worms summer festivals.
The format appeals to an audience that wants to enjoy an uncomplicated wine evening after work without having to commit to the extensive event program of a wine festival. The atmosphere is relaxed, personal, and district-oriented β ideal for regular customers from Wiesoppenheim, but also for visitors from neighboring districts.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the two wineries. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
