The Westricher Sommerfest Bruchmühlbach is one of the most traditional summer festivals in the municipality of Bruchmühlbach-Miesau. From July 3rd to 5th, 2026, the Bruchmühlbach Entertainment Association invites you to the festival grounds in the center of Bruchmühlbach – the first weekend of July has been the fixed date for the festival for many years.
Summer Festival Queen as a Symbol
A hallmark of the festival is the Summer Festival Queen, who is crowned annually on the opening evening. She is a young woman from the club or local community and represents the Westricher Sommerfest at friendly festivals and club events throughout the year. The crowning is a festive highlight of Friday evening with a champagne reception, music, and great audience applause.
Opening on Friday
The official opening of the festival grounds begins on Friday at 4 PM. At 6 PM, the traditional barrel tapping (Fassanstich) follows, then the crowning of the Summer Festival Queen and the first evening of dancing with live music. The atmosphere is familiar and uncomplicated – typically Westrich.
Line Dance and Live Music
A special feature of the Westricher Sommerfest is the strong integration of Line Dance into the program. A local or friendly Line Dance group performs, invites participation, and brings a country atmosphere to the dance floor. In addition, classic Palatinate dance bands, cover bands, or party bands play.
Kids' Olympics on the Weekend
For the youngest guests, the Entertainment Association organizes a Kids' Olympics with classic disciplines such as sack racing, egg-and-spoon race, ring toss, and skill stations. The family program is complemented by face painting, interactive activities, and stands run by the club's youth.
Morning Pint and Family Day
Sunday begins with the morning pint (Frühschoppen), followed by lunch from the club's kitchen – Palatinate specialties such as Saumagen, Schwenkbraten, Bratwurst, and fries are on the menu. Coffee and cake in the afternoon, with live music until the evening.

The Westricher Sommerfest 2026 adheres to its fixed date on the first weekend of July, combining a coronation ceremony, Line Dance, live music, and a family program into a typical Westrich folk festival.
