City Festival in the South Westphalian Sauerland Town

The town of Sundern in the Hochsauerlandkreis is one of the best-known Sauerland towns with active city marketing. WiSta Sundern GmbH organizes several city events throughout the year — from the Spring Festival and Dutch Market in June to the City Festival in September. The Westenergie Stadtfest, with its main sponsor from the energy sector, marks the largest city event of late summer.

Saturday: Flea Market — Sunday: Live Concert

The format is clear: Saturday, September 5th, 2026, the focus is on the large flea market — hundreds of stalls with private sellers and semi-professional vendors transform the pedestrian zone into a bargain hunter's paradise. Sunday, September 6th, 2026, becomes a live music day: the live band Social Club plays on the Stadtfest stage — cover and dance music for all generations. Additionally: Sunday shopping, food stalls, children's activities, and a 'Frühschoppen' (morning pint) format.
