Schützenfest Wagenfeld-Förlingen (100th Anniversary)

100 Years of Club History

With its 100th anniversary in 2026, the Schützenverein Wagenfeld-Förlingen is marking a significant milestone. Founded in 1926 during a financially challenging period of the Weimar Republic, the club has survived political upheavals, two world wars, societal changes, and multiple generations of members. Today, it is a vibrant pillar of community life in Förlingen.

Schusterkrug as Festival Grounds

The club house, Schusterkrug at Oppenweher Straße 101, serves as both home and festival grounds. For the 2026 anniversary, a specially erected festival tent with extensive external lighting will transform the premises into a festive spectacle. The atmosphere is intended to be worthy of this special occasion.

Anniversary Ceremony

An official ceremony with speeches, tributes, awards for deserving members, and greetings from the community and friendly clubs forms a special part of the program. The club's history will be documented in a commemorative publication and displayed in an exhibition.

Shooting Competitions and Royal Proclamation

As with every Schützenfest, the competition for the royal title is central. Marksmen compete at the club's shooting range, and the social highlight follows with the proclamation of the new monarch. In this anniversary year, the title is particularly coveted.

Festive Parade

A grand parade with friendly clubs from the region will march through the Förlingen district. Drum and bugle corps, marksmen in uniform, club banners, and the reigning monarch will create a colorful spectacle.

Program for All Generations

The program is extensive. Live music, dance evenings for adults, a family afternoon with a bouncy castle, a children's carousel, and a children's shooting competition, plus a morning pint with brass music – every age group will find suitable activities.

Catering in the Festival Tent

Catering is provided by the club and partners. Bratwurst, fries, shashlik, coffee, cake, beer, and drinks will be offered in the festival tent and on the outdoor grounds.
