Joint Trip from Höxter to Holzminden
The central event of the festival is the joint trip with dragon boats and canoes from Höxter to Holzminden. Starting at 1:30 PM, the watercraft depart from the Höxter jetty and take about two hours to reach Holzminden. This journey combines athletic challenge with a nature experience and creates a special community experience for all participants.
Dragon Boats and Canoes
The dragon boats offer space for entire teams, while the canoes are intended for smaller groups or individual paddlers. Clubs, school classes, companies, and private individuals can register – the event thrives on the diversity of participants.
Activities on the Water
In addition to the trip, activities on and along the Weser are part of the festival. Especially in Holzminden, where the boats arrive, there will be a supporting program on the riverbank. The Holzminden Canoe Club provides the infrastructure and is actively involved in the event team.
Registration Required
Participation in the boat trip requires registration through the Holzminden District Sports Association ([email protected]). Spectators are welcome at the Höxter jetty and the Holzminden Canoe Club landing.
