Weschbachfeschd Insheim
Palatinate Wine and Summer Festival on the Weschbach in the Southern Palatinate wine village of Insheim
2026
About Weschbachfeschd
The Weschbachfeschd is one of the characteristic summer events in the Southern Palatinate wine village of Insheim. From June 19 to 21, 2026, the festival grounds on the Weschbach will transform into a meeting place for wine and conviviality, featuring wine from local vintners, Palatinate cuisine, live music, and a relaxed atmosphere.
The name derives from the Weschbach – a small stream that flows through Insheim's municipal area and along whose banks the festival takes place. Originally planned for June 26-28, 2026, the date has been moved to the weekend of June 19-21, 2026, according to the official wine festival calendar of the Südliche Weinstraße. Insheim is located between Landau and Bad Bergzabern, nestled in the vineyards of the Südliche Weinstraße.

Festival Grounds on the Weschbach
The Insheim festival grounds are located near the Weschbach – which gives the festival its name and its special atmosphere. During the weekend, the grounds are used for the festival tent, wine stands, stage, and food stalls. The location by the water, the trees, and the well-kept lawn give the wine and summer festival an almost park-like ambiance.
Wine and Palatinate Cuisine
The Insheim vintners serve their wines directly at the festival grounds: Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Gris, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, sparkling wines, and Rosé. At the food stalls of the local clubs, you can find Palatinate specialties – Saumagen, Bratwurst, Leberknödel, Flammkuchen, Palatinate potato soup, and sweets.
Live Music and Atmosphere
Live music characterizes the evenings. Cover bands, acoustic duos, and DJ sets create the mood. The format is familiar and manageable – Insheim is a municipality with around 1,600 inhabitants, so the festival is not a mass event, but rather a wine and summer weekend for the residents and visitors from the Bergzabern region.
Insheim — Wine Village on the Südliche Weinstraße
Insheim is a typical Palatinate wine-growing community with a traditional festival culture. In addition to the Weschbachfeschd in June, the carnival parade in February, the Kerwe (Kirchweih) in autumn, and several smaller courtyard festivals are part of the annual festival calendar. Its location between Landau and Bad Bergzabern makes it an easily accessible stop on the Südliche Weinstraße.
