Autumnal wine stand in Trittenheim's Moselvorland — Weekends from September 4 to October 11, 2026
The autumnal wine stand in Trittenheim's Moselvorland is one of the classic Moselle experiences: on several weekends between September 4 and October 11, 2026, Trittenheim vintners open a wine bar directly on the banks of the Moselle. The atmosphere is deliberately relaxed and unpretentious — wooden benches, tables, parasols, wine lists from the participating wineries, and the view of the flowing Moselle.
The focus is on the current autumn wines from Trittenheim vintners. Depending on the date and weather, Federweißer (young wine), young wines from the current harvest, classic Trittenheim Rieslings, and mature single-vineyard wines will be served. The combination of Moselle atmosphere and direct wine enjoyment without prior reservation makes the stand an accessible introduction to the world of Moselle Rieslings — even for guests visiting for the first time.
As the Moselvorland is located directly on the busy Moselle Cycle Path, the wine stand is a natural stop for cyclists between Trier and Koblenz. Many cyclists use the opportunity to stop for a short tasting, a refreshment, or a longer stay with a view of the Moselle loop. The alternation of cycling and relaxed breaks at the wine stand is one of the hallmarks of the Middle Moselle routes.
The autumn wine stand complements Trittenheim's event year with a relaxed seasonal accent. While August is characterized by large winery festivals and the wine festival, September and October offer a quieter, wine-oriented atmosphere with the wine stand, WeinWandern (Wine Hiking), Wein & Ziegenkäse (Wine & Goat Cheese), and Winetime. Those who want to enjoy the Moselle autumn will find an ideal meeting point in Trittenheim's Moselvorland.
The 2026 wine stand will operate purely as a weekend season: on Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays, the Moselvorland opens for wine service and catering; the stand remains closed during the week. Exact opening days and weather-related regulations will be communicated via the Trittenheim Tourist Information.
The offerings evolve over the course of the season: fresh autumn wines and the first Federweißer at the beginning, followed mainly by classic Trittenheim Rieslings, and more hot drinks towards the end of the season.
The exact 2026 program will be published by the organizer in spring/summer. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years:
