Summer Festival and Wine Hike in One

At the summer festival on August 8, 2026, the Trittenheim Wine Youth combines two formats: the club festival in the village center and a guided 6-kilometer wine hike through the steep slopes around Trittenheim. Both parts of the program are independent – the hike can be booked for a fee, while the summer festival in the late afternoon and evening is freely accessible. The combination makes the day a complete Moselle experience.

Young Generation of Moselle Wine

The Trittenheim Wine Youth is the association of the young generation of the village, often rooted in viticulture. The summer festival highlights this generation's perspective: younger wine styles, fresh cuvées, and easily accessible Rieslings for midsummer. The festival thus positions itself as a link between traditional wine festivals and the younger Moselle wine audience.

Trittenheim's Steep Slopes in August

The guided wine hike follows a 6-kilometer route through the steep slopes of the Trittenheimer Berg – past the Grand Cru vineyards of Altärchen, Apotheke, and Leiterchen. Four to five tasting stations with participating Trittenheim wineries structure the tour, along with explanations about the vineyard site, soil, and microclimate. The midsummer date emphasizes cool, fresh wine styles and showcases the vineyard in the phase before the harvest.

Convivial Evening in the Village Center

After the hike, the event moves to the Trittenheim village center, where the Wine Youth takes over the bar and catering. Live music or DJ sets round off the evening, along with food and drinks from local providers. Those who only wish to attend the summer festival can join without prior registration in the late afternoon.
