Two-day wine festival around St. Marien Church in Isernhagen K.B. with selected vintners
When the beer festival heralds summer in Isernhagen on June 26th, the wine festival on September 11th and 12th concludes the association's culinary festival year for 2026. Organizer Isernhagener Hopfenfest e.V. — which, despite its name, also organizes the wine festival — has established a concept with both festivals that celebrates beer and wine culture in a high-quality, accessible setting. Both events use the backdrop around St. Marien Church in the Kircher Bauerschaft as an atmospheric festival location.
The vintners are the focus of the wine festival. The organizer relies on careful selection — quality and diversity characterize the offering. White wines in various styles, from dry Rieslings and Burgundies to aromatic wines from international locations; rosé wines as a summery-fresh variant that still unfolds its charm in late summer; red wines in different categories — from light Pinot Noirs to more robust cuvées. The exhibitors are available for questions, making the wine festival also a place for learning and discovery.
A new feature in 2026 is the two-day format. While the wine festival was previously designed as a shorter event, the association is now extending it to Saturday and Sunday. This gives visitors more time to sample the stalls without the typical rush of a one-day event dictating the pace. For the vintners, it means more time to talk to their customers and present their wines in more detail.
The atmosphere of the wine festival is that of a classic standing-table event: people meet, taste, compare, and converse. Culinary accompanying stalls offer suitable food — cheese platters, tarte flambée, charcuterie, vegetarian options. Quiet musical accompaniment — mostly acoustic and unobtrusive — creates the right mood without overshadowing conversations. Free admission. The historic St. Marien Church in the background lends the whole event a dignified yet relaxed character.
On September 11th and 12th, 2026, Isernhagener Hopfenfest e.V. invites you to the wine festival around St. Marien Church. Designed as a two-day event for the first time, the festival offers visitors and vintners more time for tasting and conversation.
