Kloster Marienthal on the Mittelahr has been closely associated with the region's wine production since the 13th century. Today, the former monastery estate continues to operate as a winery. The historic substance, the spacious garden, and the romantic location between vineyards and the Ahr river make the site one of the most impressive backdrops for an Advent market in the valley.

Large Advent Wreath in the Center

At the heart of the Wein-Nachts-Markt is a large Advent wreath, marking the center of the grounds and symbolically representing the anticipation of Advent. Around this wreath, the stalls of artisans and caterers are grouped into an almost intimate market island within the monastery garden.
