Wein am Dom Speyer

Wein am Dom Speyer is the largest wine fair in the Palatinate and one of the most important wine events in Southern Germany. Over 140 Palatinate wine producers present over 800 wines in the historic city center of the UNESCO World Heritage city of Speyer during a single weekend in April. The Palatinate is Germany's second-largest wine-growing region after Rheinhessen and is particularly known for Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, and numerous other grape varieties.

Wein am Dom thus offers a comprehensive overview of the diversity of Palatinate viticulture, from small family businesses to renowned wineries. Six Historic Locations

The fair is spread across six historic locations in Speyer's city center:

• Historischer Ratssaal: Representative hall of the Speyer Town Hall.
• Kulturhof Flachsgasse: Historic courtyard in the old town.
• Altes Rathaus: Representative administrative building.
• Other locations in the city center (e.g., Stadthalle, Kammgarn).

This distribution makes visiting the fair a stroll through the historic city center: visitors can experience Speyer and its sights between the venues.

The accompanying program includes:

• Wine hikes with Palatinate Wine Queens: Guided tours through the city center with expert explanations about Palatinate wine.

Tickets and Opening Hours

Opening hours are 12 PM to 6 PM on both days. A day ticket costs €35, and a two-day ticket costs €50. This makes Wein am Dom a high-priced event aimed at serious wine lovers and professionals from the gastronomy sector.

Pfalzwein e.V. and City of Speyer

The organizer is Pfalzwein e.V., the umbrella organization of the Palatinate wine industry, in cooperation with the City of Speyer. The fair is part of the marketing strategy of the Palatinate as a wine region and a platform for Palatinate winemakers to present their products to a broad audience.
