HGV Lastrup as Organizer
The Weihnachtsmarkt Lastrup is organized by the HGV Lastrup (Merchants' and Trades Association). The HGV brings together the businesses and tradespeople of the municipality and sees the Christmas market as an important contribution to revitalizing the town center during Advent. Therefore, the organizer is not the parish or the municipality, but the economic community of the municipality — a constellation that places a special emphasis on the shopping experience and the social participation of local businesses.
Program with St. Nicholas, Stage, Carriages, and Raffle
The program combines classic and special elements: A St. Nicholas program welcomes children with gifts, music clubs and choirs perform on the stage, carriage rides take visitors romantically through the town center, and a raffle with prizes from the HGV members' inventory rewards market visitors.
