Two days of open-air festival with Glockenbach, Bassjackers, Bovski and a tropical atmosphere at the DINamare grounds
Dinslaken is located on the western edge of the Ruhr area, directly on the Lower Rhine and at the level of the Wesel-Datteln Canal. The city is part of the Wesel district and has around 70,000 inhabitants. In September 2026, the outdoor area of DINamare – the municipal swimming pool with an adjacent event area – will become a festival stage for two days: the Waikiki Open Air.
The Waikiki Open Air 2026 will take place on Friday, September 11th, and Saturday, September 12th, 2026, at the DINamare grounds (Am Stadtbad 7-9, 46537 Dinslaken). Gates open daily from 2:00 PM, with the musical program running into the late evening hours.
The festival clearly positions itself in the realm of Electronic, Dance Pop, and DJ sets:
The festival's trademark is its tropical staging: thatched roofs, palm decorations, tiki bars, surfboards as directional signs, sand in the beach area. Unlike classic open-air stages, Waikiki aims to create an island atmosphere – fitting its name.
DINamare is the indoor and outdoor swimming pool complex in the city of Dinslaken, located on Voerder Straße / Am Stadtbad. The adjacent outdoor area is well-suited for medium-sized open-air events: solid infrastructure (electricity, sanitation), good public transport connections, firm ground. Waikiki is utilizing this setting for its second edition in Dinslaken.
Dinslaken is part of the Wesel district and lies at the intersection of the Ruhr area and the Lower Rhine. The city was shaped by hard coal mining for decades (Lohberg colliery, closed in 2005) and has since transformed into a location focused on logistics, medium-sized businesses, and local recreation. Festivals like the Waikiki Open Air are part of this new generation of cultural offerings.
The 2026 edition of Waikiki Open Air will be held from Friday, September 11th to Saturday, September 12th, 2026, at DINamare in Dinslaken. Tickets start from €34.90.
The full line-up with all set times will be published shortly before the festival date on waikiki-openair.de. Already confirmed:
Day tickets and festival passes available, starting from €34.90 via waikiki-openair.de. Cashless payment on the festival grounds.

Tickets starting from €34.90 via waikiki-openair.de. Day tickets and festival passes are available. Recommendation: book early, the festival was sold out in 2025.
Main stage with sound system, food court with tropical cuisine, beach lounge, several cocktail bars. Cashless payment with festival wristbands. Cloakroom available.
Arrive in time for the Friday evening sundowner – the tropical staging looks best at dusk. An overnight stay in Dinslaken or Oberhausen is worthwhile if you want to experience both days. Bring sunscreen and light clothing; the weather in September on the Lower Rhine is mild but changeable.
