Two Open-Air evenings with Völkerball – A Tribute to Rammstein at Festung Ehrenbreitstein
Völkerball are considered one of the best and most elaborate Rammstein tribute bands in the world. What began as a tribute project for the Berlin industrial metal icons has evolved over the years into an independent live experience that leaves little to be desired in its attention to detail – from sound and stage setup to pyrotechnics.
What sets a Völkerball show apart from the average tribute concert is the enormous pyro show. Flamethrowers, spark fountains, controlled fire, and the full spectrum of professional stage technology create a visual framework that comes close to the originals. Added to this is a charismatic front performance with a gravelly voice, quoting Till Lindemann's iconic stage presence.
The setlist features the major Rammstein classics: „Du hast“, „Sonne“, „Ich will“, „Rosenrot“, „Engel“, „Mein Teil“, „Deutschland“, and many more. The band regularly changes the order and integrates songs from Rammstein's current repertoire, ensuring that even repeat visitors don't see the same show twice.
The two concert evenings, July 17th and 18th, 2026, at Festung Ehrenbreitstein are designed as a double highlight of the Festungssommer. The historic fortress backdrop, 118 meters above the Rhine, creates an atmosphere that impresses even the most seasoned Rammstein fans. The massive walls reflect the sound, and the pyrotechnics are particularly effective in the open-air setting.
Travel via the Koblenz cable car from the Rhine bank, with extended operating hours for the concerts. Those arriving in the late afternoon can explore the fortress before the concert, dine in the catering area, or enjoy a sunset over the Rhine. The open-air atmosphere, combined with the Völkerball production, makes these concerts must-attend events for all industrial metal fans in the region.
The two tribute concerts on July 17th and 18th, 2026 are designed as a double Festungssommer highlight. According to the band's tradition, the setlist includes the most important Rammstein songs from three decades of their discography, supplemented by current tracks. The order varies from evening to evening.
