Vinnhorster Volkslauf

District Run with Tradition

The Vinnhorster Volkslauf was launched in 2005 and has since established itself as a permanent fixture in the Lower Saxony running calendar. The event is organized by TSV Vinnhorst, one of the traditional sports clubs in northern Hannover. The run is aimed equally at club members and hobby runners from the entire region.

Sparkassen-LAUFPASS

The Vinnhorster Volkslauf is part of the Sparkassen-LAUFPASS Region Hannover. This series combines selected fun runs in the region into a common ranking. Those who participate in several runs in the series collect points and can be honored in the overall rankings of their age group at the end of the season. The pass is particularly appealing to hobby athletes who want to compete regularly.

Courses

Two distances are offered:

• 5 km: Beginner run, suitable for hobby runners, students, families, those returning to running
• 10 km: Main distance for ambitious hobby athletes and club runners

The courses lead through the quiet residential areas and green spaces of Vinnhorst. They are asphalted, largely flat, and fast. Refreshment stations are provided.

Atmosphere

The fun run has a distinctly family-friendly character. Club members, residents, and volunteers from the district organize the run collaboratively. After the competition, participants and helpers meet for a relaxed get-together.
