Advent magic in maritime Vegesack

Vegesack is the maritime center of Bremen's north – an old harbor town on the Weser with a museum harbor and a lively town center. During Advent, the Vegesacker Winterspaß transforms the pedestrian zone along Gerhard-Rohlfs-Straße into a small, atmospheric winter world. Lovingly decorated huts, warm light, and Christmas specialties make a stroll a cozy Advent experience far from the large city center markets.

A special highlight is the ice stock sport lane: a covered, approximately sixteen-meter-long lane in the middle of the pedestrian zone, where the Weserjungs host the traditional Vegesacker Ice Stock Cup. Teams compete against each other in exciting contests until the final takes place shortly before Christmas – a convivial, participatory competition that attracts young and old.
