Advent magic in maritime Vegesack
Vegesack is the maritime center of Bremen's north – an old harbor town on the Weser with a museum harbor and a lively town center. During Advent, the Vegesacker Winterspaß transforms the pedestrian zone along Gerhard-Rohlfs-Straße into a small, atmospheric winter world. Lovingly decorated huts, warm light, and Christmas specialties make a stroll a cozy Advent experience far from the large city center markets.
A special highlight is the ice stock sport lane: a covered, approximately sixteen-meter-long lane in the middle of the pedestrian zone, where the Weserjungs host the traditional Vegesacker Ice Stock Cup. Teams compete against each other in exciting contests until the final takes place shortly before Christmas – a convivial, participatory competition that attracts young and old.

The Vegesacker Winterspaß deliberately focuses on a family-friendly, manageable character rather than size. That's precisely its appeal: neighbors meet here, the market is part of the neighborhood life and seamlessly combines with a stroll through the historic alleys of Vegesack and along the museum harbor.

Vegesacker Winterspaß — edition 2026
From November 27th to December 27th, 2026, the Vegesacker Winterspaß transforms the pedestrian zone along Gerhard-Rohlfs-Straße into a small winter world with lovingly decorated huts, warm light, and Christmas specialties. The highlight is the approximately sixteen-meter-long, covered ice stock sport lane in the middle of the pedestrian zone, where the Weserjungs host the traditional Vegesacker Ice Stock Cup. It is generally open Monday to Friday from 12 PM to 8 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 8 PM; the stalls are closed on Christmas holidays.

November 27th to December 27th, 2026 – Vegesack Pedestrian Zone
Along Gerhard-Rohlfs-Straße, the pedestrian zone of Vegesack transforms into a small winter world with lovingly decorated huts, warm light, and Christmas specialties.
Ice Stock Sport Lane on the Ellipse
A covered ice stock sport lane will be set up on the ellipse – 16 meters long and 2 meters wide. Here, the Weserjungs will once again host the traditional Vegesacker Ice Stock Cup. Clubs, companies, and private individuals can also book the lane outside of the cup dates.

- Decorated huts with Christmas specialties, mulled wine, and punch
- Small stalls available for daily rental – alternating vendors, crafts, and clubs
- New for 2026: a completely new, custom-made mulled wine stand at the chestnut tree in front of the Leffers fashion house

Generally Monday to Friday 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The stalls are closed on Christmas holidays (December 24th/25th/26th). Sunday openings will be announced in advance on vegesack.de.
