Wine presentation of all 26 VDP.Pfalz vintners in the barrique and stainless steel cellar of Weingut Münzberg
The Verband Deutscher Prädikats- und Qualitätsweingüter (VDP) is the most important association of German top wine estates, with around 200 member wineries. A VDP eagle logo on the neck of a bottle stands for the highest quality, strict standards, and a commitment to sustainable, terroir-oriented winemaking. VDP.Pfalz comprises 26 wineries from across the entire Pfalz region and is one of the VDP's most dedicated regional associations.
The VDP.Kellernacht is an event format where all VDP.Pfalz wineries present their wines together on one evening — spread across four different venues, which are hosted in rotation by one of the member estates. This decentralized structure allows visitors to choose one venue and concentrate on tasting the wines there. In 2026, Weingut Münzberg — Gunter Keßler in the Landau town district of Godramstein is one of the four hosts.
Weingut Münzberg in Godramstein, one of Landau's historic town districts, is among the most traditional wineries in the Pfalz. Managed by Gunter Keßler, the winery combines historic architecture with modern viticulture technology. The barrique and stainless steel cellars offer an impressive backdrop for the Kellernacht and allow guests to experience both vinification philosophies firsthand.
From 5 PM to 10 PM, all 26 VDP.Pfalz vintners will present their current vintages at tasting tables in the cellars and representation rooms of the estate. Riesling, Burgundy varieties (Spätburgunder, Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder), Pfalz specialties, and Große Gewächs are on offer. Food trucks in front of the winery will provide culinary accompaniment. A shuttle bus service from Landau Central Station (south side) starting at 4:35 PM makes arrival and departure easy, even without your own car.
The VDP.Kellernacht 2026 continues the successful format of previous years. Weingut Münzberg, a traditional venue, has been chosen, showcasing both worlds of Palatinate's top wine culture under one roof with its historic cellars and modern vinification technology.
