American classics and bikes in front of the world's largest conveyor bridge
The F60 conveyor bridge, built in 1991 and preserved for tourism in 2002, is the industrial landmark of Niederlausitz: a 502-meter-long, 80-meter-high steel structure that was once used as a spoil conveyor bridge in the Klettwitz-Nord open-cast mine. Since 2002, it has been designated as a visitor mine — viewing platform, industrial museum, event space. Since 2002, the F60 has hosted over 120 open-air events, including the US Car & Bike meeting multiple times.
The gathering brings together American classics (Chevrolet, Dodge, Chrysler, Ford Mustang, Plymouth, Pontiac, Cadillac), current US sports cars (Viper, Corvette), and all generations of motorcycles from the USA. Collectors from all over Europe come — Dutch, Czechs, Scandinavians, Britons. Show & Shine with trophies, burnouts on a closed-off track, live music with rock'n'roll bands, DJs in the evening, children's area with play stations.
Camper arrival Thursday, 4:00 PM. Main program Friday to Sunday, daily from 10:00 AM. Organizers Guido and Fernando Richter have established the meeting over the years and will continue it in 2026 as an American meeting. Camping on-site is possible.
Anyone visiting the F60 should make the climb: The viewing platform at a height of 80 meters offers a unique view over the Lausitz region, including the former open-cast mining landscape, which is now transforming into a lake district. The F60 is a UNESCO Geopark site and an important point on the Industrial Culture Route through Niederlausitz.
The gathering attracts collectors of American vehicles from all over Europe. Program: Show & Shine with trophies for the most beautiful restored and original cars, burnouts on a controlled track, rock'n'roll bands in the evening, DJ sets, children's program with play stations, catering with American and regional street food. F60 tours are included in the program — visitors can climb the conveyor bridge and enjoy the view over the Lausitz region.
