15 Open-Air Concert Evenings on Lake Constance — Jazz, Cabaret, Concert, Variety on the KULTUR am SEE stage
"umsonst & draußen" is one of the most established open-air concert series on Lake Constance and will run again from May to September in 2026. The organizer is the Kultur- und Tourismusbüro Allensbach (Culture and Tourism Office Allensbach); the venue is the KULTUR am SEE stage in the Seegarten — a stage directly on the water, with views of Reichenau and the Höri peninsula. 15 concert evenings over four months cover a broad spectrum of genres and attract audiences from Allensbach, the Konstanz district, and from across the lake.
The 2026 program offers the full stylistic range, from the brass band opening with the youth band to the jazz trio of Luca Sestak (August 12) . Highlights include: Blossbluez (June 2 — Blues), Andreas Langsch (June 10 — Cabaret), the Landes-Jugend-Jazz-Orchester (July 23), and The Gaptones (August 20 — Rock'n'Roll). In addition, there will be variety shows (Chris and Iris on June 16), comedy (Murzarella on July 8), cabaret (Tridiculous, Lars Redlich), and concerts from pop to jazz (Tunefisch, Pascal Blenke & Band, ELSA).
Concerts usually start at 7:30 PM (opening on May 20 with brass music at 7 PM). The event area is the KULTUR am SEE stage with seating and standing room in the Seegarten — picnic blankets can be brought along, wine and drinks are available on site. Free admission to all concerts — the concert series is a municipal cultural promotion by the community, financed by the cultural budget. In case of bad weather, the events will still take place — not moved indoors, but canceled or continued outdoors under umbrellas, depending on the situation.
Allensbach, with just under 7,200 inhabitants, is located on the northern shore of the Untersee (Lake Constance), opposite the island of Reichenau (UNESCO World Heritage site). The Seegarten, right on the water, is the natural event center of the community — a park-like area with old trees, reed views, and a view of the Reichenau Minster. The combination of high-quality culture, free accessibility, and Lake Constance atmosphere makes "umsonst & draußen" a tourist magnet in the summer.
The 2026 program covers the entire summer season: from May 20 (Whitsun weekend opening with brass music) to September 10 (season finale). Most concerts start at 7:30 PM; the opening brass music concert at 7:00 PM. Genres and styles alternate — brass music, blues, cabaret, concerts, variety, comedy, jazz, rock — ensuring the series attracts a diverse audience of regular Allensbach attendees, Lake Constance tourists, and cultural travelers.
Free admission to all 15 concerts. Drinks and food available on site from snack stands. Picnic blankets can be brought along — seating and standing room are freely selectable.
By train (Seehas connection Konstanz–Singen) to Allensbach station, then a 5-minute walk to the Seegarten. By car via the B 33 (Konstanz–Stockach), parking available in the town center. By BSB boat to the jetties on the Untersee.
Opening on May 20 at 7:00 PM, other concerts mostly at 7:30 PM. Program in chronological order in the program section.
Free admission to all concerts. Picnic blankets may be brought along. Drinks and food available on site.
