Uferrock Festival Pommern

The Uferrock Festival is a remarkable project: over the years, a festival has emerged from the initiative of rock enthusiasts in the Moselle village of Pommern, which is now known far beyond the region and has built its own fan community. The organizer is the registered association Uferrock e.V., which manages the organization entirely on a voluntary basis and deliberately sees the festival as a counter-model to large commercial events.

The festival grounds are located directly on the Moselle riverbank in Pommern, a small Moselle village between Cochem and Treis-Karden. The large festival meadow offers space for several thousand visitors, and the stage is positioned so that the Moselle and the steep vineyards form the natural backdrop for the concerts. An atmospheric setting that no festival in a city hall can offer.

Musically, Uferrock focuses on a mix of tribute bands of great classics and up-and-coming rock acts. In 2026, seven bands will be on stage: S.A.D. Metallica (Metallica tribute), Blizzard of Ozz (Ozzy Osbourne / Black Sabbath tribute), The Offspin (The Offspring tribute), Von Welt, XO Armor, Fallen Lies, and Smitch. The lineup offers a wide range from classic hard rock and metal to punk and alternative, and modern rock styles.

The festival offers its own camping area in close proximity to the festival meadow, allowing visitors to spend the entire weekend on-site. The festival infrastructure — sanitary facilities, food trucks, bars, merchandise stands — is tailored to the format and impresses with fair prices. Local sponsors from the beverage, gastronomy, and regional business sectors support the festival and enable the voluntary concept.
