About Trier Museum Night
Trier Museum Night — edition 2026
The 18th edition in 2026 coincides with the World Heritage anniversary year. Special guided tours with a World Heritage focus are expected — particularly at the Landesmuseum (Roman antiquity) and the Schatzkammer (Trier Cathedral). In parallel, the program “Roman Life — Military" will take place on 09/05-06/2026 at a Trier World Heritage site, allowing visitors to combine the day with an ancient re-enactment experience and a museum evening.

With a combined ticket, visitors gain access to all five participating museums and can visit them in any order. A central element of the Museum Night is the special program offered by each venue: special guided tours, curatorial insights into normally inaccessible collection areas, concerts, readings, performances, and culinary stations.
The participating venues offer diverse profiles: The Rheinisches Landesmuseum is the major Trier provincial museum focusing on Roman antiquity (one of the world's most significant collections of Roman finds); the Stadtmuseum Simeonstift documents Trier's city history; the Museum am Dom showcases sacred art and religious city history; the Karl-Marx-Haus, the philosopher's birthplace, is a focal point of Trier's political history; the Schatzkammer houses liturgical treasures and relics of Trier Cathedral.
