Traditional tractor pulling competition at Gewerbe Campus Lehnsheide with high-revving tractors and family program
The Trecker-Treck Visselhövede is the Lower Saxony version of the internationally popular Tractor Pulling competition. Heavy tractors pull a brake sled (pulling sled) over a set distance. Whoever goes the furthest wins the class. The competition is as spectacular for spectators as it is technically demanding for drivers and machines.
The event includes several classes, categorized by the weight and engine power of the tractors. The field ranges from small standard tractors from the 1960s to highly tuned modern machines with supercharged diesel engines. Participants come from the entire northern German Tractor Pulling scene.
In addition to the competition, an exhibition of historic tractors is presented. Lanz Bulldog, Eicher, Hanomag, Deutz, and other classics of agricultural history are on display. Enthusiasts exchange knowledge, while visitors discover the mechanical beauty of the predecessors to modern large tractors.
Despite the high-horsepower main program, the Trecker-Treck is a decidedly family-friendly event. There is a special program for children with pedal tractor races, a bouncy castle, and small hands-on activities. Snack stands offer bratwurst, fries, drinks, and sweets. A beer stand and cocktail bar cater to the adults.
The Trecker-Treck Team Nindorf e.V. has been organizing the competition voluntarily for years. What started as a local gathering of tractor-enthusiast farmers and mechanics has grown over the years into a significant event attracting several thousand visitors. Sponsors from the region contribute to the financing.
From the technical inspection in the morning to the final in the evening, everything on June 14 revolves around tractors and Tractor Pulling. The classes follow one another, with breaks filled by demonstrations, the exhibition, and the family program.
Despite the sporting competition, the Trecker-Treck is an open folk festival. Children, families, and curious onlookers are explicitly welcome.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in the spring. The structure will follow the proven key points of previous years.
