Trabitreffen Freibad Delligsen

The Trabant — or Trabi for short — is more than just a car. It's a symbol, a memory, a piece of history. Decades after the end of the GDR, the Trabant still has a devoted fan base that lovingly maintains their vehicles and shares their passion at gatherings like the one in Delligsen.

IFA-Team-Delligsen

The IFA-Team-Delligsen is the local club for friends of IFA vehicles — IFA was the state-owned combine for vehicle manufacturing in the GDR, producing brands like Trabant, Wartburg, and Barkas, among others. The club is dedicated to preserving these vehicles and organizes the annual meet at Freibad Delligsen.

Three Days at the Outdoor Pool

From Friday, August 7th, to Sunday, August 9th, 2026, the area around the outdoor pool will transform into a meeting point for Trabi and IFA fans. Camping facilities allow participating clubs to stay longer. Vehicles will be exhibited, experiences exchanged, and technical questions discussed.

Vehicle Spectrum

The focus is on the classics of GDR automotive culture: Trabant 601, Trabant Universal, Wartburg 311 and 353, Barkas small trucks, and other models. Non-German Eastern Bloc vehicles like Lada, Skoda, or Moskvitch also find their place, complementing the picture of a diverse Eastern automotive culture.

Joint Excursions

The weekend thrives on shared activities. Excursions into the surrounding area — for example, through the Solling-Vogler Nature Park or to the Weser Valley — are classic program points. They showcase the vehicles in motion and enable the shared experience of driving.

Convivial Evenings

The evenings at the campsite become a social hub with barbecues, stories, and anecdotes. This atmosphere is what gives the meet its special charm — it's not just a show, but a weekend of genuine club life.
