The Faust-Theater is an independent, professional ensemble specializing in classical plays, frequently staging summer productions in unique locations. This production in the Bückeburg palace gardens is directed by Gerhard Weber, with production management by Jürgen Höcker. The cast features Jessica Blume (Beatrice), Markus Streubel (Truffaldino), Jürgen Morche (Pantalone), Eugenia Winkler (Clarice), Sören Ergang (Florindo), and Eser Duran (Silvio).
Four Evenings of Performance
The play will be performed on four consecutive evenings from August 20 to 23, 2026. Performances on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday begin at 8:00 PM, with the final show on Sunday starting at 7:00 PM. Each performance lasts approximately two and a half hours. Doors open one hour before the start, with open seating available. In case of rain, the performance will move to the Remise.
The Palace Garden as a Stage
The Bückeburg palace garden is a historic landscape park surrounding the palace. For this open-air production, the park will be decorated with Venetian gondolas, bringing the spirit of the lagoon city to the grounds. The towering trees, the light of the setting sun, and the play of shadows among the branches will all become part of the performance.

About the Play
Carlo Goldoni's "The Servant of Two Masters" (original Italian: "Il servitore di due padroni") premiered in Venice in 1746. Truffaldino, a cunning servant, takes on two masters simultaneously out of hunger and financial need—leading to disastrous mix-ups, letters falling into the wrong hands, and a love story that unfolds amidst the chaos. The play is considered a masterpiece of Commedia dell'arte and continues to be performed in diverse productions to this day.
