Advent Atmosphere at Town Hall Square

The Tarmstedter Weihnachtszauber takes place on the last weekend of November around the town hall and the fire station. Its location in the village center creates a cozy, village-typical atmosphere that feels distinctly different from large city Christmas markets. Fairy lights, a large Christmas tree, and the festive illumination of the town hall ensure the right mood.

Arts and Crafts from the Region

Artisans from Tarmstedt, Wilstedt, Hepstedt, Breddorf, Kirchtimke, and other places in the municipality, as well as from the Rotenburg (Wümme) district, offer their products. Woodwork, felt products, ceramics, jewelry, candles, natural cosmetics, knitted and textile goods characterize the offerings. In addition, beekeepers offer honey and wax products, and manufacturers offer jam, liqueurs, and specialty spirits.

Clubs and Fire Department as Catering Stalls

Local clubs and the Tarmstedt Volunteer Fire Department operate catering stalls. Bratwurst, potato pancakes, crêpes, waffles, candied almonds, hot chocolate, mulled wine, punch, children's punch, and winter cocktails are on the menu. The proceeds from the club stalls benefit their respective activities.

Children's Carousel and Family Program

A nostalgic carousel spins for the youngest visitors. Craft activities, readings, Advent carol singing, and a visit from St. Nicholas on Sunday form the family program. Schools and kindergartens from the municipality contribute to parts of the stage program.

Live Music and Stage Program

A small stage in the center of the market offers performances by the church choir, local bands, brass ensembles, and music clubs. The program alternates between contemplative Advent sounds and festive, cheerful music, ensuring the market atmosphere lasts all day.
